Paul, I, too went to Lafayette School back in the '40s & was happy to see the photo appear - also fun to see the Bank of America then & now pics. I spent a lot of time at that 37th Avenue library, too. I didn't know there was a Lafayette School there at one time. That's what is so great about this web site - all the things you learn. Check the message board search for "Where Are All the Richmond District Kids?" There are a lot of postings and a couple of mine toward the bottom of the list refer to the 38th & Balboa area.
