I spent most of my young life on 44th Ave & Lincoln Way. My mother went shopping every day to the Busy Bee Market on the corner of 46th and Irving. Sunset Poultry was across the street. The commercial store was on Irving and the "slaughter house" was on 46th Avenue. I remember hearing the chickens being very loud. If you walked by this part of the facility you would see crates and crates of chickens waiting for their turn. Feathers all over the place and it didn't smell very nicely either. The Sunset/Surf Theatre was next to the market and down the street on the other side of Irving was a rather large liquor store. Vivid memories.
