Wow, does this posting bring back memories! Back in the early 1930s I used to have these beverages plus those delicious gram crackers. If Parkside Grammar School were still in existance, I could go to the exact spot where we received that treat.
One day my mother gave me 25 cents, I belive that is what the amount was, for orange juice and gram crackers. Well, I must have gotten my signals crossed, and opened a bank account. About the time I graduated from Abraham Lincoln High early in World War 2, the Bank of America at 20th and Taraval informed me I had an account of nearly $20. So much for compounding.
I can still taste that orange juice and gram crackers to this day.
