Dave - thanks so much for the link - WOW - it's amazing that there are still so many of these photos around - it is wonderful that people have preserved them and share them here at WN Board and on the SF Public Library website.
The picture is mostly of the Alexandria Theatre showing Orson Welles' own "The Magnificent Ambersons" therefore, I am guessing that the photo is from the early 1940's - perhaps 1942 or 1943. I copied the photo to my desktop as a jpeg file and using my photo program, enlarged it and looked into the picture - and you can see Will King's Koffee Kup quite well - it looks as if the restaurant was mostly on the left side and on the right side there is an awning with the words "Rumpus Room" - which is where Rusty Draper sang. My mom remembers going there after legendary radio personality Don Sherwood bought it - and I believe it was then called "Sherwood's Place."
Thanks again, Dave!
