It's my impression that the were were two cemetaries at the legion of Honor/Lincoln Park; a Chinese cemetery and a potter's field.
There's still a stone arch, which I presume is a remnant of the Chinese cemetary, whcih can be seen on the right as you drive from Clement up to the Legion.
My source could be San Francisco by the Writer' Project which was updated in the 1970's by Gladys Hansen.

Lincoln Park is the western terminus of the Lincoln Highway, the first transcontinental highway which, I believe, was built in the twenties.
