As far as I know, the Cala Family owned both Cala and Littleman Markets - the corporation was known as Cala-Littleman Foods, Inc. Way back in the mid-70's one of the Cala Brothers, Peter Cala, was killed during a robbery at the Cala Foods Store that was located on Noriega Street at 46th Avenue.
