Re: Rich's missive. My crowd was doing all the same Fun House fun stuff in the late 30's early 40's. How many generations of backsides contributed to the buffing of that big wheel as they slid across its spinning surface? Must have been thousands of kids, and olders, who spent, again, how many hours at Playland.

Come to think of it, with all the concern about obesity and sedentary lifestyles nowadays, think how beneficial it would be if we were able to run up all those stairs to the top of those big Fun House slides. The reward would be the great ride down. Then we'd do it again. And maybe again. Just like the old days.
