One of the songs I remember well was from the SF Children's Opera. It was all about San Francisco. "Sailing neath the Golden GAte or on the bay/You will be surprised and happy/For you will see our city sitting proud and gay/ It's no matter night nor day.
Oh San Francisco/ What a city under California sky so blue/ Oh San Francisco/ It is a part of paradise and what a wondrous view/ I feel so lonesome when I'm far from Market street and cable car/ Richmond, Sunset and Presido/ Oh San Francisco/ It's the only city full of gaity." How I loved singing that song. I wish I could share the melody. It's a song I will never forget.
