In Memory of a Great Teacher, Patricia Hegner

I am writing this in memory of a wonderful lady and a great teacher - Mrs. Patricia Hegner from Francis Scott Key Elementary School has died. She was in her early 70's. She was a no-nonsense take no crap kind of teacher, but she was kind, and real and she "knew her stuff." She took me under her wing back in the 60's when I was a gawky eleven year old - and she inspired me - and made me feel good about learning - and about myself. I will never forget her. She was a positive influence on her students - and I am proud to have known her.
