Tony, bringing back some wild memories about walking home from Frederick Burk during the riots! My dad was on the "Riot Squad" and so after school. I'd go meet up with him and his buddies as they were "camped out" in one of the car ports, waiting for some "action". I still remember his 6' long maple riot baton...they called them "Hayakawa sticks" (named after SF State's Chancellor, S.I. Hayakawa.
But the BEST thing about my memories from Frederick Burk come from the FIESTA! Does anyone remember that? What a good time! I still have old 8mm home movies of this annual event...the Pie Walk (yum!), the games...good times!
