I believe the O'Neill sisters also taught Folk Dancing at St. Emydius school. Each class had a lesson once a week and at the end of the year we would put on a show with each class representing a country wearing a home-made costume and a finale with a few people from each class doing a joint dance (one time it was The Cotton-Eyed Joe). I remember not wanting to hold hands with the boys when I was younger and some of the boys having to dance with each other because there were more boys than girls in their class. What would they say today?!!
