My sister took lessons at the Lorna Fordyce Dance Studio when it was located on 22nd Ave between Kirkham and Lawton. The studio at this time (1950s) was in the basement of the Fordyce home there. I even took lessons there to learn to ballroom dance in the mid 50s (my mother said I needed to learn to dance properly).

I remember hearing (from my mother or aunts) that Lorna Fordyce had been the lead in the chorus line at the Bal Tabmarin (sp?) nightclub. This nightclub was located, I think, on Columbus Ave. where Bimbo's 365 Club was later located. Anyone rember it?
