Sounds like you had Mrs. Decatur. I think it was a Mrs.
I remember her as a fairly large woman with blue eyes and blond hair. As stated before she told us that her father designed the cross on Mt. Davidson. I was in her class in 1947. I wrote about this recently. A friend of mine whom I didn't know until we went to college did like you did and her only public schooling was kindergarten with Mrs. Decatur.
I liked her. My friend didn't.
