I cannot classify myself as an "alumni," but I did attend kindergarten at Jefferson in 1950. My aunt, who was a schoolteacher, had "connections" and got me enrolled so I could ease into the school experience one year before I was of actual kindergarten age (and subsequently attended kindergarten at St. Cecilia).
My question is, might anyone remember the name of the teacher who would have taught kindergarten in 1950? I have vague memories of a nice lady with (maybe) the shoulder-length pageboy style of the times.
Also remember getting graham crackers and milk, and then having nap time. (Probably a ruse to allow the teacher a little time to pull herself together!)
