Re: Stonestown Mall - More Store Names

Did anyone remember/mention Rodina? It was once owned by the same people who owned Maison Mendelselle (sp?) which was downtown at the St, Francis Hotel. It was the closest thing to a Paris/New York haute couture salon you could find. You entered thru very heavy glass doors with marble handles in the shape of an R. Also: There was a Rickey's at the R/R station at Third and Townsend. I visited the supposedly new and improved Stonestown when I was in The City this past summer ('08), and it had absolutely no appeal. The redevelopers should be confined in a locked, abandoned strip mall in a miserable area of a mostly boarded up downtown of a fading, blighted city!
