My father died in 1960, but before he died I remember that every time we pass Stonestown my father would say, "I can remember when there were nothing but weeds there". He used to drive the M streetcar in the early years. The only thing I remember about Stonestown is a very small open mall, and there was a small tea room that I loved, I would go there to have a hamburger. I may be the only one that remember that place. I have not been to Stonestown since the Sixties or Seventies and after reading your posts, I cannot believe how much it has changed. The City of Paris was there? I cannot believe the growth. Next time I come back to the city I am going to see this Mall.
