Omg! Thanks for the memories. I was frequently sent downstairs to help in the blind and hard of hearning classes too. I learned to run the ditto machine when I was like 8! I remember racing to be the first to school to hold the flag on the balcony - and in the late 70 we were reciting the Pledge, the Preamble to the Constitution, and an excerpt from the MLK I Have a Dream Speech in the mornings, rain or shine. Good times.
