Ann - thanks for responding. Wow! And yes, I will never forget the cold-blooded murder of Jim. We remained friends after 8th grade graduation and beyond. I run an email group, called "Carrier Pigeon," for 50 (out of 100) of our classmates (St. Cecilia, Class of 1960). Jim is still remembered fondly in one or more of our chats.

Tim - Yes, our little "neck of the woods" was very special!! And how times have changed! These days parents wouldn't even let their kid step outside the front door - much less walk to Safeway - without being chaperoned!!!
