Hello Ann!
"Intersecting Lives" in San Francisco is definitely a grand tradition. And, yes, it's fun to imagine that our respective grandparents might have interacted in that little grocery store.
And the "intersection" continued...my family home (I was born in 1946) was on 19th & Quintara! I had neighborhood playmates on 18th & Rivera, including the Brays and the Hingenbergers on Rivera, the Hansen boys on 17th Ave, and the Benson and Vaszko kids on 18th Ave!
[Cue over to a bunch of kids singing "It's A Small World" :) :) ]
