We had very little rain this year and I mean very little and if we continue with more hotspells during the upcoming Indian Summer it could spell deep earth tumbling trouble.
I remember reading about some serious earthquakes in San Francisco in the 50s that also occurred with hot dryspells in October. There was not as much around then so it was not a major disaster.
Bad earthquakes may result by a combination of a dry year followed by a heat spell that pushes something or a fault over the edge.
