When we had that hot weather last week, I spoke with someone who said that the last time he remembered such weather was in October of 1989 when we had the big earthquake.
He claims that when the ground water is dried up it somehow induces the faults to move and gives us earthquakes. The same goes he said if we have too much rain.
I did not think much of it then but just now at about 6:45 p.m. Sept. 13, we had a small earthquake because I felt it. When you feel it lightly, it is probably a high 2 earthquake. But strangely it has happened just as my friend predicted and we haven't had an earthquake here for a long while so it seems that it is more than just coincidence.
I hope we don't get a bigger one.
