I was speaking to someone today who said he wished he could go back to the good old days of high school.

And then it occurred to me that that is something that is a big blank in our books and history in this city.

High school as well as elementary or grade school, was our world and universe at the time we attended it. Many things happened there. Some we can never forget and some we don't ever want to remember. But it was a special time for all of us.

In fact, some of my favorite films are high school films, "To Sir With Love," and "The Breakfast Club" with Molly Ringwald.

I am sure this city had its own "To Sir With Love" and "Breakfast Club" stories but we know little to nothing about them.

Maybe someone here can write a high school gossip history book of the things that went on at Lowell, Lincoln, Washington, Poly, St. Ignatius and Holy Name high schools or even the many elementary schools here in the Outside Lands. That would be a lot of fun to read.

There were even celebrities like Barbara Eden of "I Dream of Jeannie" who went to Lincoln High in 1951. Where is the gossip about her days at Lincoln?
When will the movie come out on "Jeannie at Lincoln High School."

Writers get your pens out. Lots of people to interview, lots of schools to dig in to and lots of years to cover.
