Mr. Spock would say that your statement is illogical and has no basis in fact.
Are you postulating a causal relationship between the Solstice and the arrival of fog? Or are you claiming that there is a coincidence?
A good friend of mine celebrates her birthday on the Solstice (and I join in the festivities), so it's just as "logical" to contend that the celebration of her birthday creates the phenomenon you describe.
