It has been a month now since the Summer Solstice and yes the change in weather has been drastic.
This can be evidenced by the sand dunes that closed the western portion of the Great Highway for at least two months due to the high winds almost every afternoon and evening before the solstice.
Since the summer solstice, I have not noticed winds more than 15 miles per hour out there instead of the 30 mile per hour plus winds almost every evening before the solstice which resulted in the sands shifting.
I really do think the change in wind patterns has something to do with the Solstice.
The sun starts moving back toward the south instead of the north. Somehow the change affects the winds which affect the weather.
Maybe it is something else, but the drop in wind speed is very clear.
