I recall the corner bar, it was Bob and Slims. My dads hangout. I spent a few afternoons either in a back booth or in the car outside with my sister and brother. There was a barber shop a few doors east on Balboa where dad would drop me off for a haircut while he had a beer or two. Great memories which would definitely not fly today.
