Growing up in the Richmond and then the Sunset, I remember that during the 1980s and early 1990s, decommissioned school, cross-country, and city transit buses more or less converted for use as RVs used to surround old Kezar stadium and Golden Pate Park. Then, most of them went away. But during the Pandemic, RVs of all in kinds of shape fill Lake Merced and Great Highway. I'm sure others have noticed this. Does anyone have any idea why so many RVs concrete in one area? I doubt they all form any kind of formal or informal union. My suspicion is these drivers group together to blend in with each other to hide from law and non-law scrutiny. But may others have additional theories.
