Frank Dunnigan's Great Cliff House Story

Thank you Frank, for this excellent and well-researched article!
The Cliff House will always be a magical place for me. When I received my First Holy Communion at St. Cecilia's Church in 1954, my parents and a few family members took me to the Cliff House for a celebratory breakfast.
Even at that age, I was quite impressed with the restaurant, because we normally didn't frequent restaurants (well...except for the Gold Mirror on Taraval & 18th Ave. - but also rarely - because my parents considered dining out to be an unnecessary expense).
I do not remember what we ate, but I DO remember the views of the ocean outside the windows!
