Too easy ,jb, it's all in there somewhere.
I'm thinking someone involved will recall such a large scale project.
Here's how the story starts:
Not just a quick tag, one armed slash of red paint; this was monumental scale... figure that road is about 16th and Moraga, top of the hill and I could read it from my house at 31st/Kirkham (about a mile?), red letters at least three feet wide and 12 to 15ft high. Grinning down at Lincoln High. Red letters mocking us non Lowellites (Lowelllifes?) for a few years. Then, Fall '66, a decision was made to DO something about it.
