Elissa, good ideas for where to assemble and display that model. I thought the Palace of Fine Arts pavilion vacated when the Exploratorium moved to the Waterfront would be a good venue. While we wait for David or Nicole to tell us where that cool WPA Era model of San Francisco is stored and who has responsibility for it I’m going to remind readers of the Message Board what it is. Christina Moretta, the Photo Curator for the San Francisco Public Library’s History Center composed the following article, 'San Francisco: WPA San Francisco Scale Model' (posted on January 05, 2019) http://sfhcbasc.blogspot.com/2019/01/a-new-deal-for-san-francisco-wpa-san.html The entire model with neighborhood details is available to view online thanks to the incredible David Rumsey Map Collection 1940 WPA San Francisco Model 42x38 ft https://www.davidrumsey.com/blog/2019/1/1/huge-san-francisco-1940-wooden-model-digitized Trivia Question. Another 3-D model was constructed of San Francisco for exhibition. When and where was that model displayed?
