Ah, yes! The good old days when the only thing we had to worry about when we left our homes was becoming part of the urban food chain.

Now, it's like War Of The Worlds where earth's tiniest creatures kill off the invading aliens to save the planet. In this case, sadly, it seems that WE are the invading aliens.

On a lighter note: several years back, on a warm and windless Outer Sunset night, I had my bedroom windows open, hoping to capture a stray breeze. Not for the first time, I heard the Koyote Karaoke Klub singing in the park. This time I wasn't sleepy, so, armed with a Mag Light, I snuck out to see/hear the performance. It was raucous and beautiful. I tried to stay quite and downwind of them, but they picked up my scent, or a sound I made and scattered.

Ahh, nature.
