I remember when the Beatles came to town and my friend and I went downtown to the Hilton hotel to see if we could see them. We did, but we worried about being seen on television and having our moms find out that we were there!!! What an exciting time.
My roommate worked at Basin Street West in the late 60's as a waitress and I always went with her on Friday nights and saw all of the Motown groups.
I was a frequent visitor to the Avalon, Filmore West and Winterland. We paid about $3.00 to see Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead, Santan, etc. Lots of dope and lots of kids getting their heads messed up!!!
I saw Ringo Starr in St. Louis a few years ago at the Riverfront. Brought back so many memories.
My husband and I went to see The Moody Blues in December, still the same as when we were young.
I went to see Simon and Garfunkel in June with the Everly Brothers. It was a great show and again what a way to get intouch with your long lost self..
