The apartments were owned by Orlando Cepeda and Willie McCovey lived there. They were on 48th ave and Moraga, I think. They were not on 48th, but the cross st. A classmate at St. Anne's saw him all the time. He was pretty cool and we even saw him washing his own car. Always very nice to everyone.
Mays did live in Forest Hills. When he first arrived, his lawyer was Terry Francois, who was a SF Supervisor in later years. His son Wade and I went to school together and he brought Willie Mays to a meeting one night and signed autographs.
