Reading about Colonial made me curious if this was just an SF area offering or more. Was it owned by a local bakery as a way to expand sales beyond their neighborhood?
I also remember the Fuller Brush man coming to the door selling his wares as well. The Jewel Man was another direct to home seller. Sadly I do not remember what he was selling.
