Agree about Larrabaru, Tim. We used to go to the bakery on Geary after the last act at the Fillmore and buy a "seconds" loaf for a dime. Still warm.
Take it down to Ocean Beach with the gang and eat it on the dunes.
So sad that a 1974 lawsuit shut down Larrabaru.
Not diminishing the loss of life that resulted in the suit, just mourning the end of an SF icon.
