Some years ago I heard Joel give a talk at the San Francisco History Association. It was excellent and I wanted more. I was able to point out an underground stream that was new to him. Has any of you noticed the pipe behind the bus stop at the Southwest corner of 30th and Geary below George Washington High School? I pointed it out to Joel and he did some tremendous history on the spring that fed the pipe. I stand in awe of him.
