I too remember going to the playland slot car track. I even won a couple of races there and only recently let go of my slot car trophy from there. Does anyone remember the name of the track. After it closed I do remember the "orange track" which is where they held most of the racing, at the Mare Island Hobby Shop in Vallejo CA - this was back in the late 1970's. Now there's Eddie's slot cars located on Tennessee street I believe. The track time is free but you will need to purchase parts from them. I stopped by a couple of times and have seen people there that used to race at the old South San Francisco track "Slot Car Junction". Does anyone know where I can obtain a picture of the old playland raceway? Hey, is that what it use to be called?
