I also remember a track being located at the beach in the vicinity of Play Land. If I remember correctly, Play Land had already closed at that point.

One unique feature of the place was that it had a track for dragster type slot cars. Every so often a dragster would fry its motor on the way down the track.

It was fun to watch, but the cars owners did not seem to enjoy seeing their $50 motors go up in smoke.

After the track closed down I beleive the building was converted to a rock club.
