I remember the place also. Around 1965 or 1966 my friend Bob had a slot car and took me out there. All I had was the Aurora HO slot car stuff at home but this was big time. Bob forgot his controller so he left me there with the car while he went back to 10th and Clement where he lived. He had some tools with him and gave me a pair of pliers with which to short the terminals of the lane and make the car go. I couldn't leave it on for long or the car would speed up and spin out but I had a great time pulsing the current on and off and try to stay on the track!
