On those occasional days when winds from the ocean cease and the temperature warms to almost a muggy, cloaking feel as a kid I'd hear some elders say, 'It feels like earthquake weather'.

Late Friday and early Saturday sitting out on a warm night to watch the The first-ever Camelopardalid meteor shower ( Didn't see many meteors.) the memory of that term came to mind. Now scientist have plenty of evidence to debunk the notion of earthquake weather and I don't argue with their proof. But, I'm curious to know if any of you remember such reference and can relate any stories or family lore that you heard while growing up in the Outsidelands.
