Mary Ann described an article in The Numismatist magazine about the heroic efforts to save the SF Mint in 1906 and wondered whether copies are available. I've been a columnist for that magazine for many years, and editor Barbara Gregory told me that, while the magazine is not made available publicly, hardcopies or electronic files may be obtained by emailing magazine@money.org and requesting the article by title and issue date.
