Paul, Bob graduated in 1946, so it had to be within the three years prior and most likely in his junior or senior year. I can't say for sure what kind of wood but I believe that was what he used. He mentioned working under the teacher's supervision and it was a material recommended by that teacher. I just don't remember the kind. I'm guessing some kind of finish was used like that used on those classic wooden cabin cruisers. And he said it was heavy. Knowing the kind of craftsman he was I'm sure it was a beautiful piece of work.

This was all many, many years ago and only mentioned once or twice.
