I played for the Les Vogel Powergliders between St Anne’s and Sacred Heart in 1952. My best friend was Spike Manley was the son of Fred Manley the Les Vogel sales manager. We played several games during half time at the 49er games. I recall the great thrill of being able to line up against my hero, Leo the Lyon, at the 49er training camp in Redwood City. Many found memories.
