Bob Winkelbauer, I knew your father Gene. I lived on 2oth Avenue across from the southernmost Larson Park. Our family used to get all our gasoline at Gene's Richfield Station. Not only that, but we would get our cars serviced there. I can't remember the exact time frame but it was probably in the late 1930s through much of the 1950s. Gasoline at the time was probably selling for around 30 cents per gallon.

Also I remember before that station was built, as we used to play football on that sandy lot. The lot was full of stickers and broken glass, but when you were a kid, who would let a little thing like that bother them?

Thanks for helping me remember part of my past life.
