Virginia: I enjoyed reading your memeories of Stonestown. I grew up in the 60's in St. Francis Wood and we often shopped at Stonestown. The thing I always loved about in those days was that it was an "outdoor" mall so you didn't feel like you were in some closed environment! I, too, loved Blums - in fact I hadn't thought of it in a long time till I read your memories! Buying slices of pizza was quite the thing to do when we went shopping with friends as wereached junior high and high school age.

I do remember St. Stephen's Church as we had friends in that parish, but we were parishoners at St. Cecilia's on Vincente and 17th Avenue (the next parish over, I think!).
