When I was a little kid, probably around 1930, maybe a tad earlier, my mother and father told us they were going to a speakeasy near the ocean beach. Much later, as a young adult, my father pointed out the building to us. The building still stands and it is now an apartment building. It is constructed of reddish slate and I recall seeing it within the last five years or so. Sorry that I can't give you an address but it is on 47th Avenue, probably around Noriega. If I were there at this time, I could point it out to any of you. Wonder if my brother Charles could add anything to this?
