I grew up on in a Victorian house built in 1914 on 15th Ave. We were between Quintara and Pacheco near Doelger’s old personal residence at the corner. It was common knowledge that another old house on the block has been a speakeasy and/or distillery during Prohibition. At the time there was a substantial warehouse structure attached to the house that extended to the alley between 15th and 16th Aves.
