There are no coincidences. The Little Grasshopper here was having lunch with his photography guru today and, after sharing some personal feelings about what I might find exciting to shoot besides dogs, he referred me to the work of his friend and colleague, Jim Vecchio. So I start gazing at his galleries and I found myself transfixed on a collection of cement driveway shots. After viewing, I read the caption and find this is a part of a trilogy shot in The Sunset District.

If you decide to check these out, I think you will find a sense of comfort in their simplicity as you time-warp back to those blocks of yore where you once wandered the streets looking up and down for a friend to play with, a hop-scotch square or a rare patch of blue sky beyond the power grid.

Enjoy the walk.

Cheers,
jb
