I graduated from Holy Name in 1959 and remember the funeral of Fr. Ryan, when we all stood out lining the streets, praying the rosary for what seemed like hours. Anyone remember the homemade enchilada days in the cafeteria? Or the fantastic parish festivals held in a circus tent, when they would open the tent immediately after Mass. The Christmas of my life can in the seventh grade (I think), when I got to sit in the row by the windows and could look out on the ocean all day long. I don't think that this improved my grades, but it is one of my fondest memories. I still miss the ocean.
