Remember basketball 10's '20's and '30's were not just about weight. That was the beauty of the Exponent system. Very exacting points were given for age, Ht. and weight. They were then added together to determine if you made the '10's, '20's or '30's team. You could be more than 120lbs. and play '20's if you were young or short enough. Extremely equitable. The "weigh in's" as they were called were a no nonsense time conducted AAA officials. You were allowed one return for Wt. if it was close. Your coach then took you out to sweat off that one or two lbs. if you could.
