I was a member of Troop 108, which had mostly kids from St. Gabriel's school. We camped every year at the Presidio. I stll know how to keep food fresh with a "refrig" made out of an orange crate and burlap. I don't think any of us became Eagles but we had a great time just being kids - running around crazy, wrestling and making fun of each other. Today someone would get a lawyer. This was a few years after WWII and Korea so our idea of a man involved risk taking. Must have driven our scout master nuts.
